COME ON DOWN TO SHALDON & FIND THE SCARECROWS

The beautiful village of Shaldon has come alive with scarecrows! The Shaldon Business Forum Group organised this event that runs over four days.
Over 50 scarecrows have popped up around the village, some on the beach, a few in boats on the river, a few more in trees and on roof tops!

Branch Manager Katherine Edwards who is a member of The Business Forum said "The event has created a lot of interest and we are expecting many visitors over the next few days. You can pick up amaps from our office and then you can then follow the trail around the village and out to Ringmore. There are some fantastic scarecrows, a lot of effort has been put in by everyone to make this event a success"

The Shaldon team couldn't miss out on an opportunity to take part in the event and are pleased to introduce their newest member of staff to you all!! (Delores is the 2nd from right, Just in case! Ed.)

The scarecrows are being judged by Teignmouth Mayor David Cox and Shaldon Primary School Head Teacher Francis Moule.
